Black Friday ≠ Christmas: The Growing Giant Down Under
Black Friday in Australia is no longer a warm-up act for Christmas—it’s the big show, and retailers are treating it as such. In fact, Black Friday sales in Australia were reportedly at $7 Billion for the four-day period in including Cyber Monday – sales up 5.5% from last year.
The Black Friday sales started EARLIER this year and it felt like November became Black Friday Month. Major retailers like Amazon Australia began their Black Friday sales as early as November 19, running through to December 2.
Boxing Day and EOFY are no longer the biggest sales of the year with Black Friday surpassing in sales for many retailers.
